The Victim’s Register

The Victim's Register

Once an offender has been sentenced, a victim may be able to be placed on the ACT Victim’s Register or the Youth Justice Victim’s Register (for young offenders who were under the age of 18 when the offence was committed). The ACT and Youth Justice Victims’ Registers are secure and confidential databases held by ACT Corrective Services and the Office for Children, Youth and Family Support (OCYFS).

These registers record the names and contact details of victims who have asked to be registered in order to receive information about an offender who is in prison or under the supervision of ACT Corrective Services.

If you would like to know more contact the Witness Assistance Service of the DPP, or the Victim Liaison Officer at ACT Corrective Services for the Victim’s Register, and the Register Administrator at OCYFS for the Youth Justice Register.
